Over the Memorial Day weekend we ate @ the Mooring. The bartender was a dream, but after we were seated the disaster began. Our server was new and we explained we wanted a slow meal that we could enjoy. We brought our drinks from the bar, so we told her we wanted to relax and look over the menu. She brought bread and then pestered us for 10 min. for our order. We ordered Seafood Fritters and our entrees with a bottle of wine.The fritters came at the same time as the entrees with the wine arriving 20 min later. My wife had the Seafood Fra Diavilo which had no garlic, no red pepper flakes and almost no tomatos! My Potuguese Fisherman Stew had no garlic no tomatos, no white wine and no spice at all. The broth looked to me as if it was the left over water the boil their lobsters in. We left the meals on the table with a 3/4 full bottle of wine. The best food we had that night were the olives from our martinis.
